Capoeira is more than meets the eye.

Capoeira is the art of skillfully moving to survive.

It encompasses martial arts, dance, ceremony, gameplay, musicality, and philosophy.
At its core, capoeira is about creating community, welcoming all genders, races, ages, backgrounds, and levels of physical ability! Whether looking to rebuild the body,
connect to your inner warrior, artist, or just to have fun, Capoeira offers something for everyone.

Capoeira is distinctly Afro-Brazilian. Its roots trace back to Africa, when Africans were forcefully uprooted and brought to Brasil during the horrendous era of the transatlantic slave trade. Capoeira is the art of surviving and thriving, even in oppressive environments.

Join us to learn and celebrate this art that transcends cultural boundaries,
liberating the body and mind to move freely in the world.

Salvé Capoeira!
